Renault's 1.5 dCi is one of the most widely tuned diesel engines in the world — fitted across the Clio, Captur, Kadjar, and Scenic range. Our calibrations lift the 110bhp variant to approximately 135bhp with dramatically improved mid-range torque. The 1.3 TCe petrol (co-developed with Mercedes) also responds brilliantly, gaining 25-30bhp with revised boost and injection maps.

The 1.5 dCi engine is already efficient by design, but our economy calibrations take it further by refining injection duration and boost pressure during steady-state cruising. Renault Captur and Kadjar drivers regularly report 10-15% MPG improvements on mixed driving — ideal for commuters and high-mileage fleet use.

Renault dCi engines are particularly susceptible to EGR valve carbon buildup and DPF clogging during short urban journeys. The 1.5 dCi in the Clio and Captur is a common offender. We diagnose whether the issue stems from failed regeneration, sensor drift, or genuine component failure, then apply the appropriate software fix.

Newer Renault dCi models (Kadjar, Koleos, Trafic, Master) use SCR AdBlue injection that can develop NOx sensor faults and injector crystallisation. These trigger persistent dashboard warnings and can limit engine power. We identify the root cause through live data analysis and apply targeted software corrections.
